BUILT AROUND HIPPOPHAE.
What's Inside
Every bottle begins with Hippophae, better known today as sea buckthorn, and a small collection of botanical oils chosen for their texture, scent, and daily use.
The Story
Around 330 BC, during his campaigns across Asia, Alexander the Great noticed something unusual.
Along the route grew bright orange berries on wild thorny shrubs. The horses that ate them seemed different. They endured longer marches, recovered quickly, and their coats took on a visible shine.
Alexander named the plant Hippophae - from the Greek words hippos (horse) and phaos (shining light).
More than 2,300 years later, that name remains the plant's official scientific classification: Hippophae rhamnoides.

The Story
In 330 BC, Alexander the Great noticed his warhorses eating bright orange berries off thorny bushes during his march across Asia. The horses that ate them recovered faster, ran harder, and their coats started glowing. He named the berry Hippophae - ancient Greek for "shining horse."
That name is still the plant's official scientific name today. 2,300 years later, we built a face oil around it.
